Plugin system changes coming in 1.5.7

Majestic 1.5.7 is currently in development.  One of the changes concerns the current plugin system.  Currently, you can customise the HTML used by plugins with three fields: plugin wrapper, list wrapper, and list item.  In 1.5.7, we've combined the three fields into one field.  The new system should be easier to use.

Because of this change, old plugins will need to be migrated to the new system.  The upgrade script will handle this automatically - all of your existing plugins will be updated with the new code.  However, once you are using 1.5.7, you will not be able to use plugins created with earlier versions of Majestic.

If you have exported plugins in the past, you'll need to ensure that the plugins are in the system before you upgrade.  If they are not, you can import the old plugins - again, before you upgrade.

We will migrate all of our in-house plugins to the new system, and the downloads for these plugins will be updated so you can import them in 1.5.7.

Majestic 1.5.7 is currently due to be released next weekend, give or take a couple of days.  Stay tuned for more news.
